FAQs

  1. Will transportation be provided?
    We will arrange carpools from and try to provide rides from different locations in the Bay Area for those who need rides and for those flying in. If you or a parent are able to be a driver, please let us know!
  2. Which airport should I fly in to?
    If you are traveling by plane, you should plan to fly in to San Jose (SJC) or San Francisco International Airport (SFO). Flights should be arranged to arrive before 12pm on Thursday, July 13th and depart after 5pm on Sunday, July 16th to allow for driving time between the airport and ashram. If you cannot find flight times and are in need of accommodation on Wednesday or Sunday night, please reach out to us.
  3. Can I join late or leave early?
    Yes, we can accommodate you if you're not able to join the whole time, but depending on your availability, we may or may not be able to provide transportation for you.
  4. What is the facility like?
    Krishnalaya is a beautiful ashram nestled in the coastal mountains and giant redwood forests of Piercy, CA. The photo gallery below shows a few of the ashram's features.
  5. What are the room accommodations like?
    Attendees will be sharing cabins with around 3-4 people per cabin. Each cabin has a shared bathroom. Men and women will have separate accommodations.
  6. What meals will be served?
    We will have 3 meals of healthy sattvik food served everyday and a midday snack.
  7. What should I bring?
    We encourage comfortable Indian attire as well as clothing for sports and outdoor activities. A notebook, pen/pencil is recommended for taking notes. A comprehensive packing list will be provided to participants before the retreat.
